DEV.to for Android

It's here! We're so excited to launch our first iteration of the DEV Android App. Thank you to everyone in the community who has given us input and suggestions. Design-wise, we took the same approach as our iOS app by leveraging native shell/web views and will include more native code over time. DEV is home to about 150,000 software developers that believe in sharing knowledge and supporting one another. Congratulations on launching this! I have a quick question, as someone who has the PWA installed on his Android device, what does this app do beyond what the PWA offers?

Dev.to is a really fantastic platform, and I'm incredibly excited to see it becoming *even more* accessible to developers globally. Launching platform specific apps in addition to providing a PWA makes a ton of sense, given that the majority of the world uses Android as their primary mobile operating system. Here's to enabling the next billion 🍻

Pros:

I spend lots of time on dev.to as a writer + a reader. Being able to access dev.to natively from Android is a 🔥 enhancement to the platform

Cons:

It's hard to decide whether I should use the PWA version of their site or the Android version, since they're both v good.
