No-one reads Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policies. Our free browser extension uses GPT-4 to generate clear, concise summaries of any website's legal policies for you to skim over before you accept them.
Hello Product Hunt community! 👋
I'm excited to introduce DocDecoder, an AI-powered Chrome extension designed to simplify the often daunting task of understanding website policies.
Leveraging GPT-4, this tool provides concise summaries of legal documents, focusing on the essential points. 🤖
It's not just about brevity, though – we aim for clarity, highlighting key considerations, potential warnings, and even generating FAQs based on the policy's content.
My goal is to help users make informed decisions quickly, without the need to sift through complex legal jargon. 📜
I'm committed to this project's continuous improvement and eagerly welcome feedback.
Try it out – it's free, and I believe it can make a real difference in how you interact with website policies.
Thank you for checking it out!

Wow, this is great! Is it Bring your own key?
Congrats on your launch :)
@esus Thanks for being here Esus!
No there is no key required - every user gets 2 free summaries every month, and can view an unlimited amount of existing summaries.
You'll only ever need to generate summaries for sites that aren't as widely used, but most big sites will have summaries already generated.
This tool is a much-needed solution for lengthy legal documents. Maybe adding a feature that highlights key risk areas in terms could make it even more useful for users.
@narendra_solanki This is exactly what DocDecoder does :) It highlights the most harmful/sinister terms in red, so you know exactly how the policy will effect you. Thank you for being here for launch, Narendra!
