The most productive engineers today have their own workflows to tackle any situation. You too can get the same high-quality results, were you able to replicate their processes. You could read their article or watch their tutorial and copy-paste their prompts over and over for every new feature or bugfix. Or... you could automate that workflow once—with custom code or prompts for each stage—and run it against the tickets in your backlog with a click of a button. This is the future of development.

Hello, World 👋 I'm Alfonso, creator of Expecto Centum.
I made this desktop app (Mac/Windows/Linux) because agentic coding has changed the way we create software while falsely advertising that it can do so with good results by simply vibing effortlessly. Experienced developers are able to wield Claude and Codex to write reliable code, but for those who have been promised that they can make the next big app or game with just a few prompts, they either will or have already come away disappointed.
Anyone with a great idea should be able to turn it into reality, whether they're a developer or tech enthusiast or a busy 9-to-5er with a dream. But it would be better for everyone if the software we make was less hallucinated slop, more grounded in proven architectures. Expecto Centum allows users to guardrail the AI agents they already have with workflows that write production-grade code, not just throwaway demos. In the UI, you can watch your prompt or work ticket imported from Jira, Linear, etc. run through each stage as if you were paired with your team's senior developer. Tweaking is possible by editing the prompts to taste. And if the built-in workflows aren't suitable for your project, you can create your own, and share the workflow with everyone (you like) in your company to really ramp up velocity.
Expecto Centum is completely free to use with the agent CLIs you already have installed on your computer. You don't even need an account to hit the ground running with the built-in workflows. Paid subscriptions of €2 or €3 per month are for custom workflows and third-party integrations such as GitHub or ClickUp so you can scan the work tickets in your backlog and automatically create pull requests, for example.
If you've made it this far, I already consider you a founder of the project, so let me know if you want to try it out and I'll share with you your own personal promo code for a free lifetime subscription to the highest tier, no strings attached. Otherwise, there's a two-week free trial of that tier for every new signup. An interactive demo is available right on the website.
Thanks for reading! And may the 100x be with you.
