Does the optional cloud sync keep versions, or is it just a straight copy of the file? I write across a desktop and a laptop and I'm always nervous about which copy is the real one.
@neerajnathany It’s just a direct copy of the latest version, version control isn’t available yet.
Thanks for being straight about it! That's genuinely useful to know before I rely on it across two machines. Even so, having the latest copy land everywhere automatically is already most of the battle — I'll just keep my own habit of saving versions with dates in the filename until version control arrives. Is it on your roadmap? 😊
@neerajnathany Yes it's on my roadmap.
@hein_htoo_htoo_kyaw That is great to hear! Knowing it is planned means I can stop worrying about the two-machine setup and just write.
Really useful!
I went through your website. Can you confirm that you plan to keep the product free and rely solely on donations?
@ilyasb Thanks for checking it out! Yes, the plan is to keep the product free and rely on donations to support it.
I like this but can you give some options for changing the typing sound , I don't like the current one.
rest really good application I will be using this for my brainstroming idea sessions.
@imran_shah5 Sure, I’ll think about it. Thanks anyway.
As others have said, ambient sounds built in is peak. I would love to be able to change the font—the typewriter font is super vibey, but kinda hard to read 🥲
@justlewitt I will consider to add a option to change the font face. Thanks anyway.
love this.
@laxman_karthik Thanks
Local-first with ambient sounds is a nice combo for a writing app. Does focus mode hide the word count too, or is there a way to keep it visible? I tend to either obsess over it or forget it exists.
@pen_king1 Same here — a calm UI makes it much easier to actually open the app instead of negotiating with myself for ten minutes.
@pen_king1 Of course, the top and bottom/status bars are hidden while you’re typing in Deep Focus Mode.
Ambient sounds in a writing app is something I didn’t know I wanted. Half the battle with writing is just getting quiet enough to start, so a calm setup like this makes sense..
@said_javliev2 I’m glad the ambient sounds help make it easier to settle in and get started with writing.
