Splitwise for crypto! @pratyush_rungta, I'm curious what benefits this has over using Splitwise/spreadsheets and Cash App/Venmo? It is primarily the ability for pseudonymous people to split and pay bills?
Pratyush Rungta
@rrhoover The advantage it has over Splitwise or any other web2 app is that you can immediately retrieve all data from etherscan, eliminating the need to go over etherscan and go through all transactions. You can also request payment from your friends and pay/settle them straight from the app.

@pratyush_rungta I'd suggest niching this down to some degen use-case. The one that comes to mind is P2P wagers with an onchain escrow. You could do 2 of 3 multi-sig on the escrow with both parties agreeing to a judge who would hold the 3rd key. Because you're not making a book or custodial, this would not fall squarely into any gambling regulation and you could also lead with merit-based wagers, which aren't regulated. As is, to @rrhoover point above, normies have web2 centralized ease of use and NFX. Degens are accustomed to all the complexities of moving cryptoassets from wallets to exchanges back to wallets. So you are stuck in the middle-- sure its easier than parsing etherscan for all the info and I get how a digest of that is valuable. But prob not for a broad Venmo use-case-- you need to go deep degen and make it easy for the fiends to do what they love-- speculate. I actually built an MVP of something like this back in 2015 ontop of the Uphold API-- wannabet-- but my co-founder bowed out and I shifted focus to other web 2.5 projects (Airtm, Cadoo, Slyk). Congrats on the launch-- there's definitely a green field of web 2.5-3 apps out there. I'm rooting for you.

πŸ‘‹ Hey Product Hunt! 😟 Has it ever happened that you gave some ETH to a degen friend and forgot to keep a track of it, and now you have to travel into the black hole of etherscan to discover transactions and figure out how much ETH you sent? 🀨Isn’t this a nightmare for every crypto native? 🚨 Introducing Frens.money 🚨- Platform that allows you to directly view all of your friends' transaction data in one place, see how much you owe your friends, and repay them with features like request crypto and email notifications. Think Venmo, but for crypto. What's in it for you: πŸš€ Split and track expenses between friends 🌈 Request money and make payments πŸ”” Notification for Pay and Request Transactions πŸ—’οΈ Add note to transaction for future references πŸ’Ύ See noiseless data of your transaction (Txn amount and Gas Fees) Sounds simple, right? πŸ€” Feedback and Questions? Go ahead and use this to manage and settle all of your transactions with your frens, and please share your thoughts and feature requests with us so that we can make this the best crypto management tool possible.

This problem is so relatable for me, especially when you don't have enough eth to flip NFTs and then you decide to pool money. Keeping track of this was such a mess! I am glad that we have a solution now for this πŸš€πŸš€
Pratyush Rungta
@prabal_gupta Yeah, the same issue made us make this app. We will be adding a group feature soon to make the experience better for groups as well.
