Will it work if my PC is on but locked? Cuz that's the most common situation I can think of, I am away from my desk, system is locked and I need some file.
@vidushee_geetam Great question, Vidushee, and yes, that's exactly the case I built it for. JIMMY runs in the background, so finding and sending files works while the PC is locked. Screenshots and opening apps need an unlocked session, and JIMMY tells you when it can't do something.
Yes to a Mac version! The "lest the file on my computer" problem definitely exists on both sides. Good luck with the launch!
@yuliia_savchuk Thanks, Yuliia! Mac is the most-asked request so far, so it's next on the list. and you'll be first to know when it's ready.
Fetching a file from the PC feels like a good first task for this. I'd want to see the file and recipient before confirming the send.
@oleksii_sekundant That's exactly how it works, Oleksii. Before any send, JIMMY shows you the file name and who it's going to, and waits for your yes. Nothing goes out without that confirmation.
Congrats on JIMMY, Vedansh. What I'd want first from an agent on my own PC is handing it a screenshot with my notes drawn on it and having it take it from there. Is that a normal thing to ask, or is it mostly typed commands?
The undo log is the part I'd want to understand before trusting it with a send. After JIMMY moves or sends a file, does undo actually reverse that action, or does the log just record what happened? And for a scheduled task, what happens if the PC is asleep when it's due — does it run when it wakes, or is that run skipped?
Using the WhatsApp self-chat is a clever choice. No new messaging interface to learn, just a conversation that’s already there
@marianna_tymchuk Thanks, Marianna! That was the whole idea. Everyone already has the chat open, so there's nothing new to install on your phone.
