Journey Now
Hi Product Hunt 🐦⬛
I'm Sergey, co-founder and CEO of Journey Now.
Our Why is helping people make clear progress in becoming who they want to be and doing what they love to do.
We've spent 10 years building education products and always seen the same pattern. The real work of growth happens in the invisible daily routine. That routine needs personalized support, which most learning skips. People get stuck, follow the wrong trajectories, and make choices that affect their future (and their present, too).
Now, we have the technology, the experience, and the ambition to break the status quo.
So we built what we wished we'd had: an adaptable path, exercises, reflection journal, tracker, analytics, and a learning group, all in one app (this is Journey Now, voilà).
It took months of testing to build the engine, the methodology, and the knowledge base behind it. Paths grounded in real sources, a method that turns fuzzy goals into a day-by-day practice, and a feedback loop that recalibrates as you go.
How it works:
✶ Tell us your goal. We surface what's underneath and build a path around it (about 4 weeks, but you can change it).
✶ Each day, you get a recommendation based on your activity: exercises, theory, inspiration. Specific enough to help you show up and make progress.
✶ Reflect and calibrate your path. The path and exercises change depending on the feedback you leave.
✶ Invite close friends into your Pod. They see your progress, you see theirs. Much harder to quit this way!
You probably have one project that's been sitting in the back of your head for years — a book, a music track or photo series, a language, or a side thing you keep almost starting. This is exactly where we help and support people.
I'll be around in the comments all day with @andrewu @mikhail_pitersky @alexey_prilepskiy.
We'd love to hear your thoughts and feelings 🙂↕️

Help me understand: what type of learning is your product best suited for? Habits? Or professional skills? Is it good for team training?
Journey Now
@maria_chmir Hi Maria, thanks for your question! From my experience, there are no preferred topics. For example, I used it for French learning and for blogging habits as well. My friends use it for thinking about careers or for book writing. So the spectrum is quite large.
But I think the difference depends on the educational context. My belief is that the human presence and experience are crucial for any learning, and humans are not scalable. So Journey Now works with both situations.
When you learn on your own, it gives you the support you usually can get only from a teacher, and your Pod adds real people around your progress. And when there is a teacher or a group leader, Journey Now amplifies them. That's why I especially see a great potential for team training, corporate learning, etc.

@sergeynugaev Congrats! How granular do the daily recommendations get? Curious whether it's "do this specific exercise" or more like a prompt. Looks great either way :)
Journey Now
@kate_prasniak Thanks for the comment, Kate! You basically get a path to your goal, which covers a month, this allows you to see the weekly scope and tasks for each day. The tasks are highly specific for your goal and usually reference a source, so you can not only try it, but also see there it's coming from and what's the background behind the idea 😌
Journey Now
@kate_prasniak @andrewu One thing I'd add — there's also a "Go Deeper" feature. If the content on a task isn't enough, you can start a chat about it that already has the full context of your path and what you've done so far, so you can really dig into any idea, ask any question or whatever you want.
Journey Now
Hey Daniel, we're currently testing the app with both students and educators. The early feedback from students is that they like receiving small exercises tailored to their super niche learning goal, and they don't have to look for these themselves. You just talk about your goal, and the app does the rest ✨
For educators, the app works a little differently since we have a platform where they can upload their course material and set up the goal for each students. Mostly they've been excited about seeing students analytics, helping to send nudges to those who lost motivation and make sure the students can get specific questions to numerous questions on the topic to clarify it.
These are just the first updates we've got, but we'll be learning more over this summer!
@andrewu super interesting and I really love the online education niche so I'll be following along!
@andrewu a huge missed opportunity to say, "I'll be following along for the Journey, Now!" so I thought it was worth including here as an amendment haha
the daily guidance and reflection piece is where learning tools most often get retention wrong. daily anything becomes a chore by week three for most people and the apps that survive that drop-off are the ones that make the daily interaction feel like a natural part of the day rather than an obligation. what does the daily touchpoint actually look like and how long does a typical daily session take because that number is probably the biggest predictor of whether someone sticks with it past the first month
Journey Now
@ansari_adin Hey Ansari, great feedback! We're actually not trying to push daily learning upon everyone. Students get paths of practice lessons to get to their goal, but the path itself is adjustable. The more feedback they send, the more learning adapts. So if at the certain moment daily learning feels like a chore, it's easy to adjust it by leaving comments within the reflection feature.
@andrewu the more feedback they send the more it adapts is a personalization model that rewards the users who are already engaged enough to leave comments. the users most at risk of churning are the ones who aren't leaving feedback because they're already disengaged. curious whether there's any signal the system uses to detect passive disengagement, like session length dropping or days since last activity, that triggers adaptation without waiting for explicit feedback

@harini_mukesh Thanks for the comment, Harini! We've created a content recommendation system on the backend of Journey Now. It uses a mix of different LLMs to personalize, adjust and update your journey. We also check on you and your goal progress every week and month to show what's actually changed and what's coming next.

Congrats team! Does the Pod work for friends chasing totally different goals, or is it better when you're working toward something similar?
Journey Now
@solodnev Thank you! In Pods you share your activity with each other, and the goals can be completely different — so yeah, it works great either way!
Journey Now
@solodnev @alexey_prilepskiy I think it's best to have different goals, but in the same domain, like if you're both doing something creative. This way you can see that you've been putting off some writing, and your friends hasn't picked the guitar in a while. Doesn't exactly have to match this way, but definitely works great for motivation and general "we can get through this" vibe within your Pod 🫡
