Kaloria 2.2
Launching today
Kaloria 2.2 rebuilds the app for big screens. On iPhone Duo, closed it's the familiar phone app; opened, your day and each meal sit side by side, split right at the hinge, and folding keeps your place. On iPad the journal is two-pane, with keyboard shortcuts for fast logging. The core stays simple: snap a photo of your plate, get calories, protein, carbs and fat, and edit anything, in 40 languages.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Jan, one of the makers of Kaloria, a small team from the Czech Republic.
Kaloria first launched here in July 2025 as a photo calorie tracker with AI coaches. Since then it grew to 40 languages, and 2.2 is the biggest update so far: every screen was rebuilt for large displays.
What's new:
• iPhone Duo: works closed and open. Opened, your day sits on one side and the meal, journal or coach chat on the other, split at the hinge. Folding keeps your place.
• iPad: two-pane journal, sidebar navigation and keyboard shortcuts (⌘N scans a meal, ⌘K opens the coach, ⌘1–4 switch tabs).
• On wide screens the scan result shows your photo and its numbers side by side.
• Android tablets and foldables get the same layouts; that update is arriving on Google Play this week.
The basics stay the same: snap a photo of your plate and get calories, protein, carbs and fat, then adjust anything before saving. There's a free tier with daily photo scans.
I'd love your feedback, especially if you have an iPhone Duo, an iPad or a foldable: what feels native, and what still feels like a stretched phone app?
