What's great
the "you're not on the map yet" result when you search your own handle is a smart touch, it turns an empty state into a reason to post on X instead of a dead end. the map itself is fun to poke around, real profiles clustered by city, and random boats sailing the ocean tiles for flavor. ranking column wasn't obvious to me at a glance but the core idea, seeing the maker world as an actual map instead of a feed, works
What needs improvement
a legend for what the points/ranking column actually measures would help, right now it's not clear if it's X engagement, on-site activity, or something else

vs Alternatives
It's basically a map on top of X, and it seems to have pretty decent usage. So it's actually cool. You'll always find someone to connect with. I haven't considered anything else.

Every maker directory I've seen goes stale because people fill out a profile once and never touch it again. How does a profile stay current?
I like the idea a lot. Any plans to open it up to makers not on X?
