I built Markdownary after getting frustrated with a very specific problem: I kept pasting long ChatGPT/Claude answers into Markdown-to-PDF tools, and the output was always... rough. Long code lines spilling off the page, tables breaking mid-page, fonts going missing.
Turns out most "Markdown to PDF" tools work by opening a headless browser (like Puppeteer) and literally printing the rendered webpage — which is why they inherit all of a browser's print-layout quirks.
Markdownary takes a different path: it converts your Markdown into Typst (a modern typesetting language built for real print output) and compiles that to a real vector PDF. No screenshot, no headless browser step for the final render.
