Been looking for something like this for awhile. When building transactional emails into my apps, I would struggle at the designs because it just takes too long to build one. I usually end up just running with plain text, which pains me. This looks like the solution, but it would be nice to see more fleshed out templates vs. some columns/sections and lorem ipsum. With that said, there's currently no other real solution other than copying existing templates from Mailchimp, so I'll absolutely give this a try. Thanks for the great work!

@hwk73 I personally like Foundation's Inky because if you're going to invent a new template language why not make it easier to read (Inky) instead of more difficult (mjml).

Really like this idea. I had to design out an email marketing campaign recently and I was surprised by the lack of tools available for making a responsive, HTML based email template. If I can give a little feedback though, I'd make the template images a little more sexy. It makes it seem like you can only handle text and one kind of image. But playing around with it, it can clearly handle more. Awesome stuff though!

It used to take me days to create new emails, and there aren't very many email builders out there that will allow a lot of customization without having in-depth knowledge of coding/HTML. MJML is a god-send and it is completely free and open-sourced.

Pros:

Simplifies email creation for marketers with limited HTML knowledge. Cuts down email creation time from days to hours. FREE and open-source.

Cons:

More people need to start using it, so there are more extensions and resources

I have used it several times already. You need not to dive into the tables in tables in tables, loosing the structure in the source code. Everything is clean and simple, so the focus is on the content. Thanks!
