I built Radio Europe because I felt existing radio directories made something simple unnecessarily complicated. I just wanted to quickly get back to the stations I listen to most, but that often meant navigating through multiple pages every time. I also wanted features like persistent favorites and an automatically generated “Most Played” list based on my own listening habits. I’ve been building radio apps for several years, and today they reach more than 50,000 monthly active users. That gave me two things: a curated station catalog and real-world listening data that shows which stations people actually use. It also taught me what makes a radio app feel fast and effortless. With that experience, creating a web version felt like the natural next step. I still use my mobile apps while driving, riding my motorcycle, or spending time outdoors, but when I’m at my desk, I almost always reach for the web version.
