REDACT 3.3.0 is an open-source Windows anti-forensics and artifact sanitization suite that permanently destroys 255 system artifacts — browser history, registry traces, NTFS change journals, Windows Recall AI snapshots, live RAM, and encrypted volume key material. New in 3.3.0: Auto-Trigger Engine — USB Panic Trigger, Login Failure Trigger, and Dead Man's Switch fire a HIGH-tier wipe automatically without manual interaction.
I built REDACT after studying exactly how forensic investigators work, what FTK, AXIOM, and Cellebrite look for when they examine a Windows machine.
Most privacy tools are built from the user's perspective. REDACT is built from the investigator's perspective — in reverse.
It started as a personal project. Then people in 29 countries found it before I officially announced it. That told me the need is real.
4.0.0 drops October 15. This is just the beginning.
