Resurf is a personal context app for things you like, care about, and work on. Save notes, links, images, PDFs, and ideas. Find them later or hand that context to AI through MCP and CLI. Native on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, with local storage and private iCloud sync.
I save a lot of things while working. Inspiration, articles, screenshots, random ideas. They ended up scattered across apps, and I rarely came back to them. So I built Resurf for myself.
It’s a personal context app for things you like, care about, and work on.
Capture quickly: notes, links, PDFs, images, videos, and voice memos.
Organize later: spaces, tags, and stacks. Search when you need something.
Use that context with AI: ask your library inside Resurf, or hand it off to your AI tools through MCP and CLI.
I’ve shared earlier versions on Reddit, and the feedback helped shape the app. It’s now fully native on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Your library lives locally, with optional private iCloud sync.
Free to try on Mac. Free on iPhone and iPad. One-time purchase for unlimited Mac use.
Still polishing the small details. Would love to hear your thoughts and what you’d use it for 🙂

@deep_lakhani Scattered bookmarks and voice notes are such a common problem for creators and makers. Connecting a local context library directly to AI workflows is brilliant.
@deep_lakhani Nice launch ! the CLI and MCP supported are a nice touch for the people who already use the ai tools and also i like that the library stays local with optional iCloud sync.

congrats on your launch!! 🚀🚀
mcp handoff caught my eye. i copy-paste random notes and links into claude every session, its tedious. can i scope what the agent pulls to a space or tag, or dies it just grap the whole library?
btw, thanks for making this 👍 great idea & propulsion!
I use this app every single day, and couldn't go back. It permanently lives in my menu bar, and I store every single bit of inspiration I find! Whenever I'm designing anything, the first place I start is my Resurf library. Thanks for making this! 🙌🏻
@swiftyalex Thanks Alex. Really appreciate you using Resurf every day, sharing feedback, and helping me make it better 🙌🏻. Love getting feedback from people who care about craft as much i do.

@tehreem_fatima5 Thanks Tehreem
@deep_lakhani is this beginning of the end for traditional note-taking apps ?

ArchFormation
The capture part looks really smooth. What brings an important item back at the right time so the library doesn't become another archive?
I gave it a try and its smooth. I was using obsidian for achieving same things. I'll post another review after 30 days, hoping for the best.

@piyush_jaiswal3 Thank for giving it try! Feel free to send your feedback
