Find a free weekend, then pick the hour, without changing screens. Riff is one calendar you zoom, from half a year down to a single day. Hold a free slot and type the title to add an event. It shows the calendars already on your iPhone: iCloud, Google, Exchange.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Magnus. I never liked any calendar app on my iPhone, so I built my own.
Most calendar apps make you hunt for a free spot across different views. Then you fill in the details in a long form that covers the calendar. Compare that with a paper planner. You flip the pages to the right spot and write the event down. That is the feeling I wanted. Instead of flipping pages, you zoom and pan to where the event goes, write the title, and you are done. Riff looks at your earlier events with similar titles and can fill in details like the place for you. Or you add them when you need them.
For the curious: the whole screen is one canvas, drawn from a single zoom value in plain UIKit. Every step between half a year and an hour comes from that one number. None of it is a prepared animation and everything adapts to the available space.
Riff shows the calendars already on your iPhone, so iCloud, Google and Exchange all work. It has no server, no account and no analytics. Every event you add is a normal event in Apple's Calendar, and it stays there if you stop using Riff. So trying it is risk-free.
It is free for three weeks. After that it is $1.99 a month, $19.99 a year, or $39.99 once. Riff is iPhone only.
Zooming instead of switching views takes a day to get into. Once I had, I could not go back. So the feedback that would help most: use it on your own calendar for a day, then tell me where you got stuck and whether you would keep it.
@rexikanย looks great! Love how smooth the zoom is ๐
@cjseย Thanks. I have put a lot of effort into it and into how to best present information across the zoom levels.
