Ryu means "flow" in Japanese. That's the whole idea. Ryu Journal is a quiet place to put a thought down and let it go. No accounts, no social feed, no pressure — just you and the page. Open it, write what's on your mind, and get back to your day. WRITE, THEN LET GO A clean, distraction-free editor. Tap the plus, write, save. Tap any entry to keep writing. Your week gathers softly into one simple timeline.

@jayrunquist and I worked together on Google+ years back — great to see more of his design work out in the wild!
This looks great. Will it be available globally?
Congrats! A journal with no accounts and no pressure is refreshing. Does it support any kind of export, in case I want to look back later?
@anton_w Yup!
"no accounts, no social feed" is doing a lot of the work here, most journaling apps eventually add a streak counter or a share button and it stops feeling private. the "reveal your common themes" screen is the one I'm curious about though, is that pattern detection happening fully on-device, or does the text have to leave the phone for that part to work?
