The honest Mac cleaner. Shedi finds what Xcode, Docker, node_modules and 20+ package managers left on your Mac, says what each item is and whether it comes back, and cleans only what you pick. Everything goes to the Trash first. Pay once.

Hi Otabek, I had Claude clean up my MacBook: node_modules, caches and a pile of other dev leftovers. That freed about 100 GB, but I have to run pnpm i each time I open an older project, and it gets annoying.
Can Shedi preselect node_modules in projects I haven’t opened for a set time, like 30 days, and keep the active ones?
pnpm hard-links most of node_modules to its global store, so deleting the folders frees less disk space than their size suggests. Does Shedi count that when it shows the space I’ll get back?
Thanks, and good luck with the launch.

Thanks, and great questions!
Active projects: Shedi never preselects node_modules. They're marked "Check first", so nothing goes unless you tick it, and each project shows when it was last modified, so the old ones are easy to pick out. An automatic "older than 30 days" selection isn't in yet. It's a good idea and I've added it to the list.
pnpm: yes. Shedi checks for pnpm's store links (and Bun's), and for those projects it doesn't show a size at all, just a note that removing them frees little because the files live in pnpm's store. A size that counts hard-linked files would be wrong, so Shedi leaves it out. For pnpm the real space is in the store itself: pnpm store prune clears out packages that no project uses anymore.
Thanks for trying it!
