Hey Product Hunt Community! 👋 We are excited to launch our product here. We believe it changes the game for remote and distributed teams along with individuals who are focused on short and clear communication. Confirmed by many teams. Shortcast.io helps you deliver your thoughts with short videos and get rid of some of your online activities. It works in Google Chrome and can record anything on your screen + your voice + your front cam. New to recording videos? No worries! To help you get started, we asked our experts to create a set of cheat sheets for popular online activities that can be turned into short videos: marketing reports, design review, feedback, code review, product demo, bug reporting, and many many other playbooks with use cases I’m sure you’re familiar with. Second screen option You can send the script to your smartphone and use it as a prompter during the recording. Just scan the QR-code in the particular cheat sheet and turn your device into a second screen you can take a peek at during the presentation. Also, we are working on editable prompts inside the product so users will be able to customize the script. Getting started 👉 Sign up to Shortcast.io (it’s free to start and doesn’t require a credit card) 👉 Install Google Chrome extension (we’ll remind you to do that once you sign up) 👉 Record anything on your screen with just a couple of clicks 👉 Share your recording with a single link in messaging app or email We appreciate the ability to present our platform to you guys. Our team can't wait to get your feedback. Let us know if you have questions, suggestions, or anything you'd want to share with us. And make sure you use the coupon above once you decide to switch to Pro. The Shortcast.io Team

Hey everyone! My name is Max and I’m a CEO at [Shortcast.io](http://shortcast.io/) This is a very personal story for me. It's about happiness. About time, about work-life balance. About the opportunity to go to the park with a dog in the afternoon, to be by myself and spend time with kids not only early in the morning and in the evening, but also when it is really important. And at the same time, to keep doing my business and work at a high level. Initially, we made the tool for ourselves, for our team. We realized that endless zoom calls, meetings, and preparation take a lot of energy, although many things could be solved remotely, asynchronously. Sometimes things aren't that simple. Usually, there are no ready-made models and mentors nearby. Therefore, we have followed the path of collecting best practices from those for whom asynchronous work was a part of company culture for many years and brought the results. Present something on your screen, keep the emotional context, and do it according to the best scenario, briefly, and clearly. Without wasting too much time on organizing all the communication. Keep this time for yourselves. For life and happiness. I’d be happy to learn more about your experience with Shortcast.io, feel free to reach out to me once you have suggestions or any kind of feedback. Thank you!

Hey Community! My name is Egor, I am a co-founder Shortcast.io. Also, I'm responsible for the design. I’d like to provide a little bit more context on the motivation and explain why we decided to make this kind of product. Like many of you, I faced remote work in 2020 during the pandemic. It seemed to be fine, but after six months, I started to experience zoom fatigue with burnout as a result. I was 100% sure I had to change all the processes and tools to keep myself safe. Screencasting became one of these tools. But the weird thing is that everyone knows what screencasting is, but only a few know how to utilize it properly. And it hit me — we need to understand it and learn how to utilize it, like any other tool: - understand the concept and use cases - keep my thoughts short, so my videos engage my team That's why the idea came up to make a bundle: a database with use cases + a prompter (to have a script on my mobile phone instead of a paper one) + a cloud screencasting tool. Shortcast.io an essential tool that helps me and my team to work comfortably and safely in remote mode. I hope this will help you too!
