Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Jangul. SwipeCaddy is a rebuild of an app I first shipped in 2017.
Back then it was called CCPicks: you tapped a category — groceries, gas, restaurants — and it told you which credit card ALREADY in your wallet earned the most there. A couple hundred people used it. It never made a dollar, and I was fine with that.
Then it died — not from lack of interest, but because rewards data rots. Categories flip every quarter, cards get retired, rates move quietly, and I was retyping all of it by hand until I couldn't keep up. An app whose whole job is being right slowly became wrong, so I took it down.
SwipeCaddy is that idea rebuilt around the lesson that killed it: the answer is only as good as the data. Every rate now carries a verified date, and the whole catalog (150+ cards) is re-checked against the issuers' own pages every week.
What hasn't changed, and won't:
• No affiliate links — we earn nothing when you apply for a card, so the card it names is the one the math picks, not the one that pays us.
• It never connects to your bank — you pick the cards you carry; the math runs on your phone.
• Free on iOS & Android (Pro is $29.99/yr, the cheapest in the category, if you want the extras).
Would love your take — what card do you always second-guess at the register? I'll be here all day.
