Hi Product Hunt π I'm the maker of Termy.
I run Claude Code most of the day, usually in two or three projects at once. I kept alt-tabbing just to check whether an agent was still working, done, or quietly waiting for me to approve a command. So I put that status somewhere I'm always looking anyway: the MacBook notch.
What Termy does
- Hover the notch (or press β₯) and a terminal drops down. There's a tab for every project open in Xcode, VS Code or Cursor, and Claude Code or Codex starts in the right folder.
- The notch shows working / needs you / done, read from Claude Code's and Codex's own hooks rather than guessed from the screen. When the agent wants to run a command, Allow / Deny appears right in the notch.
- Tabs come back with their conversations after a restart, or after the agent crashes.
- The menu bar card shows every session and your Claude and Codex plan limits.
- Calm, readable themes (Soft Dark, Warm Night, Paper) and readable fonts built in.
Pro adds the Agent Office, a pixel-art office where every agent and subagent sits at a desk. A raised hand means someone needs you, and the "Done today" whiteboard lists what got finished. New in 1.4.5: chat with any agent from the side panel. Pro also includes Silent mode (agents keep working, nothing pings you), review notes on diffs, git worktree sessions, Termy Browser, on-device Whisper dictation, checkpoints and usage insights.
Pricing: free to use. Pro is $4.99 once, with no subscription and a 14-day free trial. For launch week, code PRODUCTHUNT takes 30% off Pro.
Termy needs macOS 26, and the notch features need a MacBook with a notch (everything else works from the menu bar icon).
I'd love to hear how you run your agents and what you'd want the notch to show next.
Approving a command straight from the notch beats alt-tabbing to check on an agent. Does it keep working if you run it on an external monitor with no notch?
I always ended up with like 4 terminals open, one per project, and kept losing which one needed me. seeing it all in the notch with sound notif is a nice idea tbh
Allow / Deny right in the notch is the part I'd watch closely. it solves the alt-tabbing problem, but a tiny popover is also exactly the setup where someone taps Allow on a command they'd have questioned if they'd seen the full diff first. does the notch show enough of the actual command to judge it, or is it really meant for the easy approvals and you're expected to open the terminal for anything that touches something destructive?
@galdayanΒ it's like easy approval, to understand all, you need to read previous messages π§
