Ten tiny apps (text, spreadsheet, slides, outliner, calculator, drawing, diagrams, animation, calendar, trips) where the whole document lives in its URL. No accounts, no server, nothing saved unless you keep it on your device. Share the link: that's the file.

Hunting this for Paul Ford (@ftrain), who built it at Aboard, where I'm CTO.
The trick is that there's no backend. Every document is Markdown packed into the URL after the #, so your browser never sends it anywhere. Ten apps (a word processor, spreadsheet, slides, outliner, calculator, drawing, diagrams, animation, calendar, trip planner), each one small on purpose, and a document from one can sit inside another: a spreadsheet on a slide, an animation in a doc.
No accounts, no uploads, nothing stored on a server unless you use the optional link shortener, and even then it's encrypted with the key in the link. It's open source, and there's an API if you want to generate documents from code.
Paul's writeup on why he built it: https://aboard.com/introducing-tinylittleoffice-com/
Curious what you'd make with it, and what breaks. We'll be keeping a close eye on the comments.
@ftrain @adampash congrats on landing #13 with 99 upvotes yesterday, nice run for a no backend office suite. what was the most surprising thing people made with it?
Hi tried out it out, the idea is cool. I would like to change the scaling of the site right now the interface is too large, and one more thing the most used interaction the copy button when I click there is no state/feedback that tells me the link is copied.
the useful bit for me is that a shared link is a snapshot
u can change ur copy without silently changing what the other person saw
a whole office in the url hash is a neat trick. does a doc from one app embedded in another still open fine if the link gets long?
Loved the idea. The UI is also clean and easy to adapt to. The only problem I see is security specially for Enterprise companies to use these. Great job anyway
This is fun! Thanks, @ftrain!
