Hey Product Hunt! I'm Agam 👋 Thanks a bunch @benln! You made my day hunting me ❤️ Last year, I took the leap and said goodbye to my corporate job and hello to the wild world of independence. I set a rule for myself - never stop learning. So, I went on a search for resources that could help me stay ahead of the curve as a developer, but all I found were boring news articles and yawn-inducing changelogs. I was looking for a way to digest trends in a 5-minute read with TL;DRs, Pros/Cons, Tools, and Predictions, so guess what, I decided to make it myself. Well, It turns out I wasn't the only one with this problem. After a little random shoutout on Hacker News, Unzip.dev blew up (with more than 2k subscribers now!) which is amazing. Anyway, I’m super excited and ready to publish many more issues, hopefully helping busy technical founders like you navigate the developer-sphere together. Covering subjects from Programmatic SEO, eBPF, to Stable Diffusion - before they're so hot everyone is using them. Unzip is great for: - Technical founders (CTOs, VPR&Ds) - Curious senior developers, and daring PMs that want to know what is possible dev-wise. Wanted to subscribe but once I’ve deleted “ and tried to add them on iPhone it doesn’t pass the validation. Small bug but still unnecessary barrier for mobile users. ;)

The one that I liked the most was probably 0x00D - Open-source Business Models, mainly because I felt like I cracked some novel idea in the forecast section regarding the Marketplace-based model. I feel like that could really spark more viable open-source companies.

Cheers to never stop learning. It’s incredible that you’ve curated this incredible newsletter that will help technical and non-technical audiences learn and appreciate new technology trends and hopefully go build with them. Is there a way to gamify readership? Just thinking out loud here, maybe give people badges based on the amount of content they’ve consumed for a given category (e.g. lattice-based cryptography). It’d be a cool way to find specialists to start your next startup with or to have tech technical conversations with.

@agamm exactly! Quizzes may not scale super well, the quick and dirty thing could just be checking if the user read through a given post as a way to gauge if they completed reading something. You could then tag different articles and tally up points for a given theme and help create a leaderboard that users could filter by different subject (e.g. cryptography, smart contracts, information security, etc.)

@ed_forson Thanks for taking a look and for the compliments! It takes between 20-30h hours, depending on my understanding of the subject. That's why I post quite infrequently. I'm just grateful that I have a wide network of smart tech savvy friends that can double-check my research.

@ed_forson My current hope is for the sponsorships to breakeven with the costs of the newsletter - for the past year I paid myself more than the sponsorships' revenue was. I want it to continue to be a fun activity where I learn, it's a long term goal of compounding knowledge and a great community.
