Thanks for hunting @winkervsbecks! I'm one of the co-authors of the Visual Testing Handbook. We wrote it because UI bugs are more common than ever. Especially, when it comes to appearances. Janky layouts, misplaced buttons, impossible to close email signup modals. As developers, the more bugs we fix the more seem to sprout up – especially with CSS. So Tom and I wondered how do teams actually find time to fix UI bugs while still building new features? We researched teams from Microsoft, BBC, and Shopify to learn how they visual test UIs automatically. We also help maintain Storybook, one of the most popular tools for building and testing UIs. This guide compiles everything we learned into 6 chapters. Hope it helps you get started!
