My 🎁 for today 🌎
Problem 😭: Good documentaries are hard to find
Solution 😛: Website with curated content
Seriously I am a documentary addict. It would much rather skip an episode of Game of Thrones for a good documentary any day 🤐 (yes I said it, sorry GOT fans). There are a few existing documentary resources out there but many of them feel like a dump with anything and everything no matter the quality. My goal for this website was to create a curated list of only the best documentaries. To help you find the right one I've crafted little blurbs that summarise the points that touched me the most about the documentary. Hopefully this will give you a better sense of why a documentary is worth watching than a generic summary.
Currently I have about 25 documentaries on the website, but I am committed to add 3 documentaries per week for many months ahead. There's also an email newsletter which I am sending out every fortnight, so definitely signup if you are into this sort of thing: https://www.getrevue.co/profile/xyz_paul
Looking forward to hear everyones feedback 😊

PS: For the devs out there who care about code, this website was completely written in vanillaJS. No react, no jQuery, nothing. Checkout the source code it's not minified so you can see how easy it is to build an animated one page app with vanilla JS (it real is surprisingly easy). Oh yeah and the backend is written in Node.js with Airtable as the CMS.
