In the early stages, I have focused on adding new features to build the product. As the software grows, fixing bugs becomes more important, and balancing both gets trickier. Having a general plan on what features to add, while addressing feedback that's usually going to be bugs is a good idea. You can also make your life easier by testing your software a lot.

I try to do something fun and social after work and perhaps more "me time" on weekends. It feels way better now than when I was juggling work and my master's, so no complaints here.

Remote work was a thing before covid, but seems to have been overlooked because of the assumption that people need to be physically supervised. However, studies have shown it can increase productivity. Perhaps this flexibility is not as optimal for bigger companies, but more of a reason to incorporate it if people prefer it and it benefits the business for smaller firms.

We focus on the many features our product offers during demos and are open to questions. I think it's a good idea to mention the strengths of your competitors openly, rather than keeping them a secret. You can do this wherever it fits for your product.
Do you ever mention competitors in your demo calls ?

I think it makes sense because it accommodates many people's preferences. I'm glad to see it's having positive results, but I don't think a big change like this can happen overnight. The first reason is inertia—people are naturally hesitant to embrace change. Secondly, I'm not sure if these studies are comprehensive enough. Especially for blue-collar work, companies might push for lower pay for...

While we are not a big company, I can count five languages spoken in our offices, or perhaps six if you include the random Spanish salutations some coworkers enjoy using. It's quite fun.

I think better features attract more clients, and these regular updates can be a form of quality support.

We have seen AI do more than repetitive boring tasks, so I am wondering if we will enhance this creativity offered by AI or just mostly take a back seat. I see it as a race between these two, although letting AI handle the work and ideally assuming that means free time, may also inspire us to write a poem or two.
