I think about my launch throughout the entire process of developing the business. For Poket Dev which I launched today: 1 year of ideating, 3 months of developing, 3 days of actually setting up content for launch.
How many days/weeks in advance do you plan your launch on Product Hunt?

Deliver value to readers. Only subtly hint your product and make sure it is still valuable content. I launched today and this is one of the medium articles I released along with it: https://medium.com/@trevtravtrev...

AI chatbots offput every customer that speaks to them. That won't change anytime soon, even with recent AI advances. I will never implement AI chatbots into Poket Dev that I launched today.

Never be afraid of entering a space with competition. The service I launched today on PH (poket dev) is actually my first ever startup that doesn't have competition in its space.
Should I proceed with my development or pursue a different direction?

Only use AI for sanity checks. Bounce ideas off it. Verify it's feedback, and incorporate it if it's helpful. I do this for high level design of software I write. I even use it like so for my service I launched today on PH.

I cold launched today. Very recommended against, but I believe the counter claim that putting too much thought and effort into launches is counterproductive. That time is better spent on your service. That does not mean putting a lot of work into launch is a bad thing, but it is not always the best thing. Landing pages are great if you have prospective clients before you even launch.

I've noticed chatGPT is performing worse than previously. I generally only use AI for high level design questions or sanity checks. I always run software projects by it to see the stack ideas it has for implementing them. Sometimes I learn new tools that I then use to write the software. I even use it like this for my company I launched today, Poket Dev.
Has anyone noticed, Bard responses have become so much better. How are you using Bard?

I don't like words that discount your service like "cheap" and "save money." Regardless how high quality your product, I think words like that are negative and detract from its premium feel regardless of price point. Rolex's never go on sale.
In sales these words you should never use.

Nobody on the internet wants to read marketing. You have to generate high value content for them to even consider listening to a word about your brand. I've been doing this via reddit, medium. social media, etc for my company I launched today.

I am extremely partial to solo developing. All businesses I launch are 1 man shows with close to $0 invested. I am always looking for low risk-high reward scenarios. Just launched my first company in over 5 years today, and my first product hunt launch.

Just finally getting the business out there is the most important part to me. Whether it generates leads, traffic, or just getting backlinks to boost you on search engines. I launched a high price point unlimited software development subscription today that I don't expect to make sales right off the bat, but just happy to get it out here finally.

I think the biggest accomplishment is finally having the company ready to launch. That feeling of every task being checked off your 1000 line notes list is unbeatable. All of the not-fun administrative tasks like filing LLC's, business banks, etc, all done. I launched today and am absolutely ecstatic.
What has been your biggest accomplishment since starting?

I launched my new Unlimited Software Development Subscription service today named Poket Dev. Wondering if implementing AI into the workflow would have gotten it more attention. Kidding of course. Definitely a big buzz word these days to say the least.

You just have to make them an offer they can't refuse. I launched Poket Dev today and I put a lot of time into this on my website. I always instantly start off with social proof (logos like product hunt, indie hackers, etc). Then I immediately go into a minimalist portfolio that shows them real work they can expect. Then I get into the details of why they can't live without this service.

With Poket Dev (I launched today), I hope to do some work for companies in the web3 space. I'm very active in the web3/crypto community and would like to work on it at a lower level. I've been a crypto investor for around 7 years but only just got into learning the development during the meme coin era. I played around with contracts and launching coins for educational purposes at the time.
Any Web3 builders here?
