Hi everyone, We’ve recently launched the landing page of our newest side project and we’re looking for beta testers! Tangerine is a simple habit and mood tracker that helps you organize your routine, achieve your personal goals and reflect on your life. Here’s our landing page: https://www.tangerine.app/. We expect the first private beta to be released in 2-3 weeks and we’d love your thoughts and feedback on it.

Meta note: this is some copy I've been working with below. I'm not sure if it's best to take this slightly more negative angle, or just to focus on the positive of our solution. We're also working on a re-brand. ~~~ Hey all - I've been a community builder for over 10 years, working on a wide range of projects at places like Google, and Autodesk. I ran community at a co-living network for entrepreneurs that had 10 houses, and hundreds of beds. I launched a Free Skool in college, where anyone could teach a class, and anyone could attend. I helped Google build community with entrepreneurs across the world. From that experience, I believe that the tools for Community Building are terribly broken. Why do I have to have my audience broken up across a meetup, a facebook page, a slack channel, and a mailing list just to get all the features I need? Why does it feel so onerous and painful to launch a robust online community to pair with an offline, events-based community? Why do the tools that exist today largely ignore the logistics and economics of events? Speakers, sponsors, food/drink and venues come into play all the time. Why do we always end using tools not designed for communities, like Slack, where the pricing ends up a very big problem? We're building something new. Join us if you want to discover new community, manage your current community, or build a new one. Sign up here for early access: https://www.producthunt.com/upco...

@colinbrauns I think this does a good job of describing the pain of creating a community. There's a lot of complexity, the economics aren't clear, and that's before the effort of engaging and curating the community. Building products is about solving pain, and there's a lot of pain for you to solve here. I would consider balancing the pain by sharing a little more about what you're building..."something new" is interesting, but not compelling. I hope that helps =)

Hey everyone! Finally went live with the product I've been working on on Friday, managed to get quite a few signups over the weekend and work out a few post-launch kinks. Felix AI is tool which converts any article or blog post into a video trailer, insta-type story and audio summary. It would be great if anyone has a moment to give it a test drive and let me know your thoughts, I'm continually making tweaks based on what people are saying so anything is super helpful. Free sign up is at https://app.gofelix.ai/create-ac... 🙌

@jamesdevonport That's a great service, I'm wondering if you could put some time estimation about the video generation?
James
@jrmgx Thank you for the feedback! Each video takes about 1 minute to render, we're trying to speed that up though :)
James
@imre_ujlaki Thank you! Still a long way to go but getting there :)

Hello everyone, Super grateful for this thread @abadesi. I have built a dev/testing tool for Android developers/testers, called Viwr (https://viwr.app) *Why Viwr?* Viwr aims at bridging the gaps in the current android app development ecosystem. *Gaps in the current ecosystem* - Emulator sucks. Even if they are x86 emulators, they can't really emulate the actual device experience. - Using different Android SDK tools is super complicated, which should not be the case. - Developers have to go through a lot of complicated configurations for simulating external factors like location, battery, network etc. - There is no one single report that we can look at to measure the performance of an Android app. *The core mission of Viwr is* - Help developers to use their Android devices as a complete App Development tool. - Give an all in one solution to quantify the performance of their Android app. - One click mocking of Location, Battery, Network conditions for the Android device. *Upcoming features* - Automated security checks for APK. - All in one network inspector. No more complicated setup (Charles proxy, Wireshark) *Steps to install* - Currently Viwr is available for mac. - Open https://viwr.app on your mac device. - Click on Download, to download Viwr .dmg file.

@abadesi @akshay_deo Wow, this tools looks absolutely great! Love the fact there's a free version. I might add it to my DesDev.tools just because of that. I especially think the performance reports are going to be a big deal. Keep up the great work! :D
Akshay Deo
@abadesi @haneenkrimly Thank you so much for your kind words. I would definitely love to see Viwr on desdev.tools. Let me know if you need anything else from me.

Hi PH Makers! My name's John and I've been a brand-o-holic for 2 decades. I've spent my career building software that helps creators, and am getting ready to launch my team's next product. It's called Aesthetic: www.aesthetic.com We've felt the pain of not being able to visually search across our design work as individual creators, design teams and product teams. We're building Aesthetic to solve this problem, and we're starting with visual search for logos. I'd love to get the feedback of my fellow brandheads to see how this product might be useful. You can read a little bit more / sign up for early access on our new Ship page! Happy to answer any questions y'all might have about the problem, our approach or workarounds you have today for searching public and private design files using tools like Pinterest, Figma, Dropbox, Google and others today. Thanks!

Hello All, Thanks for this thread @abadesi I am launching https//mulaa.co tomorrow here PH link —> https://www.producthunt.com/post... This was inspired by the absence of Instagram shopping even though a large percentage of small businesses currently use Instagram to sell directly to their audience. I will appreciate feedback on the landing page, is the proposition and copy clear? Also the onboarding flow, at the moment new users upload their first product before the onboard flow is initiated, what do you think? I'd love to read feedback

Karma Karmabot 2.0 is a peer recognition and appreciation system for business chats. It’s free and available for Slack, MS Teams and Telegram. Good vibes, reports and rewards. Check it out at https://karmabot.chat P.S.: We also built Time for time-tracking, stand-ups and invoicing.
Ebrahim-Khalil Hassen
@stas_kulesh - I found the "add karmabot to slack" call to action confusing on your pricing table. i was asking myself does the free version, not allow me to add to slack.

Hello everyone, Love that concept I'm about to enter the launch phase for https://slownewsapp.com The pitch is a work in progress but I'd love your feedback: "All the news from your Twitter feed without the rush" The idea is to help people to slow down their Twitter usage without disconnecting them from the news stories. Please give it a try, tell me about the landing page and in particular the message you get from it. Thank you 👌

Hey everyone, I'm the founder of Document360 a Saas platform that helps you to build a great self-service knowledge base for your customers and internal users (public or private knowledge bases). I'll acknowledge upfront this is the first time I'm here. Over the past few weeks I've collected a vast information on PH launch and it still surprised me how things are unfolding on the launch day. We were at #3 for a long period, then jumped to #2 and then back to #3. Looks like nothing we can do :-) other than hustling our network about the launch. I'll promise I'll cover a blog post on whatever I've learned or witnessed and share it with the group. We focused patiently for the past 2 years building the product based on early customer feedback, and this is our first ever PH launch. https://www.producthunt.com/post... I'll greatly appreciate if you can take a look and provide your feedback either on the product, or on the website.

https://contact.do - Contact form in a link I've always been reluctant to write my email address in comments, so most of the time I don't post that comment. I don't want to feed the spam bots with my email address. That's how I came up with the idea for Contact.do What do you think about it? Would you use it? Please let me know: https://contact.do/toni

@tonixx Not sure what it is (maybe the color combo or the layout), but your page looks like one of those spam popup ads.

@morethan1 Thx for taking time to check it out! It's the first time I've heard this ... it might be because of the color scheme. I'll ask around to see what others think. Was the message clear? Was it easy to understand what it's for?
morethan1
@tonixx Trying to read what was under "Contact form in a link" was difficult since it kept moving. Reading all your benefits felt like a chore because of the way the text block was formatted. It wasn't easy on the eyes.
Ehsan Zaery Moghaddam
@tonixx It's an interesting idea. But I'm also agree with Alex about the design. I personally didn't like it. I can understand exactly what it does, but I'm pretty sure most people will have difficulty understanding what it offers exactly (with such a high price). Maybe a short animated demonstration of the process or a couple of graphics could helps them to get it.
Amy Giddon
@tonixx I agree with others that your design could do more to build trust and be scannable for the benefits. The price seems very high. With this price, I think you'd have to offer a free trial. I understand you're trying to build referrals with the high referral bounty, but it feels a little scammy - like I'm really trying to profit off of my friends.

I'd love to get feedback on an app I've been working on: RateYourPolitician.org. Suggestions are welcome!

@adamtreister it's a really nice layout. On the state detail pages like below, the filters on the right were a bit confusing without any data. Might want to consider hiding that until there's enough data to be useful? Also, it feels like the primary reason I'd rate a politician is so that they know I approve or disapprove. Might be good to partner with Resist Bot to make this easy?

Hi Makers, @abadesi great thread, thanks 🙌 We are a software developer team called CodeYard Ltd. 🚀 As we built our company we tried to build a good company culture with a good athmosphere. We created a competition like Employee of the Month (we called it "Hónap Büszkesége" that means "Pride of the Month" in English) and give everyone the possibility to give 360° feedback to each other and we gave opportunities to ask something from the company (like. gym membership, gift coupon, payed holiday, etc.). This system made a huge change in our company (we started ~3 years ago) so we decided to create a platform to help others to build a better, lovable company. ➡️➡️➡️ This is http://motivac.io https://www.producthunt.com/post... But this is not only a platform, we would like to give culture, approach how You should think about your team that's why we would like to provide coaching and deep metrics for our community. We give 2 free months without limitations for everyone who signs up in the next 7 days. 🏃‍♂️ If You have any idea please share with us! 🤗 Have a nice day!

StonkJournal - Trading Journal
Hi everyone, I just launched another web product. https://stonkjournal.com Stonk Journal is a free easy to use stock journaling web application. After being frustrated with spreadsheets, ad ridden and expensive services I decided to make my own. As a developer if I cant find a software solution I usually explore the option of making it myself. This is how Stonk Journal was born. Stonk Journal is currently an alpha build and still has a long list of V1 features missing. The core basic functionality is there and the app can be used currently, however, I'm looking for more users willing to give feedback so that I can prioritize the list of features I'm currently backlogged on. Thanks in advanced for taking a look at my creation and thank you @abadesi for this thread.

Hey there! 👋 We're building Belhana, a floor management service for restaurants that lets people do everything they can do inside a restaurant—browse menus, order, call servers, pay and more—using only their phones. What we're trying to do is to make running a restaurant extremely efficient. It works by giving customers and restaurants the tools to instantly communicate with each other. For example, by checking-in using a QR code, customers can send an order without having to wait for a waiter/waitress. What do you think of the idea as a Goer? Do you think it is something you would use regularly, or you prefer the human interaction? Also if you're into the restaurant business: Do you think we're missing something here? Can Belhana operate hand in hand with full-blown POS without being an inconvenience? Here is our upcoming page, subscribe! https://www.producthunt.com/upco...

Hey everyone! Thank you @abadesi for starting this thread, our co-founder is a big fan of Elpha! We have built a platform for people that love art but cannot afford to invest in it. It is a crowdinvestment platform allowing people to buy shares of artworks, we just finished our latest sale: a super cool Banksy! We are always into getting users on a skype and asking questions :D What we would love to hear from you guys and gals is how invest-y and how art-y would you expect a product like this to be and what do you think is "off" in what we have now, regarding that balance. Hi Everyone, Thank you @abadesi for creating this thread. I am in the process of launching ShipScoop and I am looking for Beta Testers and Feedback on the product. https://shipscoop.com ShipScoop automates project status updates to your clients by sending Branded emails using you Git Commit messages. For any developers out there, mostly freelancers who have to juggle between updating your clients doing the actual tasks at hand. Shipscoop basically allows you to generate Status Updates without changing your workflow, making messages like "Hey!..." and "Any updates on the app?..." a thing of the past. My co-founder and I have been using this personally for our clients for 2 months now and our clients love it and we set this up and basically don't think of updating clients any more. It just happens. It gives clients' observability into your work and gives them peace of mind that you are actually working and at the same time, letting them know where in the process you are. You have the ability to hide commit messages from the reports, you can send reports on any day of the week and everyday if you want. The frequency is up to you. It is meant to be a set it up and leave it service and if there are no updates, no email goes out. I would love to hear thoughts on this service, ways that it can be improved and use cases that we might not have covered. It is free to use. Check it out!
