Since the rise of the AI era last year, my team and I began developing Minduck, a Web-based AI application designed for users who are not adept at interacting with technological products. Our concept evolved from a simple idea to a complex project addressing hundreds of issues. Now, we're excited to introduce Minduck to everyone on Product Hunt! To give back to the Product Hunt community, we plan to share 10 key insights from our product research and development over the past ten months during our Pre-Launch period. These insights are crucial to our understanding of AI products and are derived from our experiences at Minduck. We hope these content will inspire everyone interested in AI application development. #4 Future of Work: AI-Enhanced Productivity and Creativity In the future, humans will live alongside AI, with AI becoming an integral part of our extended intelligence. (In fact, our smartphones, smartwatches, and smart earbuds are already part of this extended intelligence.) I believe that in the future, individual productivity and creativity will be significantly enhanced by AI and driven by fierce market competition. Here are some trends and data we've observed: 1. In recent years, many companies across various sectors have been laying off employees. At the same time, every organization expects its employees to be more creative. 2.We are seeing more digital nomads, small digital work teams, and even solo studios emerging, indicating a rise in "super individuals." 3. With the empowerment of content platforms and creation tools, it's predicted that by 2025, there will be over 150 million internet content creators in China, including both narrow and broad definitions of creators. 4. Globally, the creator economy is expected to grow from $250 billion in 2023 to $480 billion by 2027, a fivefold increase in just five years. 5. Freelancing remains a crucial part of the U.S. labor market and economy: In 2023, freelancers contributed $1.27 trillion in annual earnings to the U.S. economy, a 78% increase from the $715 billion estimated in 2014 (the first year of this study). The number of freelancers has hit an all-time high, with 64 million Americans freelancing, making up 38% of the U.S. workforce, up by 4 million from 2022. 6. China is gradually becoming a productivity society dominated by mental labor: According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China, in 2019, the total number of mental laborers in China reached 745 million, accounting for 54.5% of all employed persons; the total number of physical laborers was 621 million, accounting for 45.5%. This means that China's productivity is now more than half driven by individual mental labor, highlighting a significant shift towards a knowledge-based economy. We predict that a wave of people relying on their mental capabilities will need to enhance their personal productivity and creativity due to various reasons, such as increasing market competition or the pursuit of greater self-fulfillment. This will lead to a closer collaboration between humans and AI. Thank you for reading this far. In my next post(#5), I will share the 5 Steps of Creation Value Chain that describes the stages through which an individual creates value. We aim to identify opportunities for AI empowerment in the various cognitive activities involved in human value creation. --- If you find our article valuable, please consider visiting Minduck’s Product Hub to notify us, and stay updated on our launch day!

Hi Tim! Thanks a lot for taking the time and energy to write about this topic. When Chat GPT became a mainstream tool in professional environment, lots of people thought it would be the end of human creativity and thinking. Thing is, if used properly, with the right mindset, AI can be an amazing tool to enhance the quality of your work. If you use it thinking its gonna do the work for you, you might find your work disappointing. But if you use it as an extension of your brain, an extension of your skills or even a collaborator, you'll definitely up your game, get noticed and perform more than your competitors. Would love to connect with you to talk more about how technology can impact your productivity and creativity Can't wait for #5!
