Hello Brenna, I saw this topic on the news today and it is really interesting. I was talking with my brother this weekend about that and how different can be for some industries working 4 or 5 day work week. Definitely, I prefer 5 day work week but maybe fewer hours. I think I prefer to work more days but fewer hours per day. What do you think? Cheers,

@brenna_c_curran I totally agree with you. I think it is complicated to find a balance because like you said, every minute counts. Startups is what it is. However, it might be a good way to understand if spend more hours means working more. I know some startups leave 40% of the time to employees to work on any project that they want, to dedicate the time whatever they think it is the best for them and the company and some companies are finding good outcomes by testing this. For me, I love what I do and it is easy to spend time "working". But I think it is important to focus on what you do every day. If we really focus on what really matters every day there is plenty time for everything. If we remove the time we spend on social media, or watching Netflix and use that time to go for a run, talk with your father, go for a walk, read a book, sleep 8 hours minimum, you name it... Interesting topic... We will see... :)

@rubenlozanome Yes - I also read the article, which is what prompted my question! In theory I'm for it, but I think it can be difficult when you're small (like us) and growing a company. Every minute really counts! I found it interesting that most of the companies that took part in UK's 4 day work week trial were small (66% had <25 employees). So maybe it's something we need to take a look at as an employee benefit as we're growing. Maybe there's a hybrid: an on-call day for mission critical items?

5 day work week!

For employees? Probably 5 day if they don't have stake in the company. Maybe even less if it's just on a task based system. For founders? I'm also in university, so don't always have all the time in the world to work on my startup on weekdays. So I'd say 7 day work week
