Hi!
I'm helping a friend set up a new simple site.
She uses Squarespace which is both expensive and not the best, in my opinion.
So, I was thinking. What do you recommend as an alternative?

GitHub pages. free, open source. easy to build with Jekyll and AI editors like cursor. I use them.

Wix, WordPress, Webflow, depending on needs and skill level.
Webflow is a great alternative to Squarespace. It's more flexible and powerful for building custom websites without coding. You can use their visual designer to create unique layouts. And their CMS and ecommerce features are solid too. A bit of a learning curve coming from Squarespace but worth it for the added customization in my experience.
Webflow is a great Squarespace alternative. Offers more flexibility and control over design without needing to code. Tons of templates too. I switched from Squarespace to Webflow for my site and haven't looked back.
Webflow is a great alternative to Squarespace. Fully customizable designs, powerful CMS, and built-in hosting. Plus you can extend functionality with plugins. I switched from Squarespace to Webflow last year and haven't looked back!
