How do you complete your self-review or peer reviews at your job? Have you used ChatGPT to write your reviews?

Jumping in here to mention our app.

ChatGPT doesn't have knowledge of you, your working relationship, goals, working realities, etc.
Hypercontext takes notes and goals from your 1:1s generates the review materials for you to edit.
It's pretty great.

performance reviews can be tricky - but they don't have to be.
self-reviews:
start with clarity. know what you're reviewing against - goals, competencies, etc. self-assess objectively, citing examples. reflect on achievements, learnings, and areas of improvement. remember, it's a self-assessment, not a self-promotion.
peer reviews:
be constructive, empathetic, and specific. focus on behavior, not the person. avoid personal biases. provide actionable feedback. praise publicly, critique privately.
reviews are opportunities for growth. approach them as a dialogue, not a verdict. and remember that it's about understanding and improving performance, not criticizing it.
make them frequent, not a once-a-year event. the more often you do them, the more they become a natural part of the workflow, the less anxiety-inducing they become.
hope this helps, mate!
