Does constantly using ChatGPT make people lazy at some point, so does getting used to such convenience lead to a decrease in creativity?

I remember the same question when rolling pens appeared :)
Then — calculators. Then — printers. Then — digital dictionaries. Then — Internet.
People have not been more lazy, people have become stronger in their mind.

I believe so, this has happened to our math skills overtime. Before smartphones, people used to rely on mental arithmetic to calculate math problems instead of using their phones. Over time, people have lost the ability to perform mental calculations without their phones.
If people become overly reliant on AI, they may lose their ability to think critically or creatively and if they rely on AI for tasks that require social or emotional intelligence, they may not develop these skills as effectively.

Hello! Yes, if AI continues to progress that people will need to be told one thing and AI has already done it for them. In institutes and other schools, they have already found methods for finding texts or works written by AI.

It depends how you use it - the value proposition of ChatGPT is similar to many SaaS offerings; use it to save time on the more mundane tasks to focus on higher quality work. Some of this work can't be conducted by AI (or at least not always), such as higher level decision making or collaborating with others.
ChatGPT is no exception, as it can either be a valuable tool to aid productivity or a crutch that leads to laziness. It's up to the user to decide how they leverage it.
Like any tool, there will be those who use it to progress and those who use it to do the bare minimum. The key is to remain mindful of how AI is used to maximize its benefits and continue driving progress.
To boost my productivity and creativity, I leverage ChatGPT as an "expert" in a particular field by conducting mock interview questions. This approach provides quick insights and enables me to better represent the needs and preferences of users before conducting real user testing.
At least, that's the value proposition to me - for others it can be anything from a chatbot to replacing them at work!

@tomwilletts Thank you very much for your comment, that’s the point I wanted to mention. Using ChatGPT to save time and spare time for more higher quality work seems like the most logical way for me too🙌🏻
