Does a loom video walkthrough or an animated video work better for PH launch?

I think so because every time I see a product in the top 10 they have a video of some sort (then again maybe that's just because most PH launches have videos nowadays so maybe there's no connection)

I think a real video including the founder works best.

There is a 3rd option which is becoming increasingly popular and IMO, is a better option: interactive user demos. Storylane is one such SaaS company which offers this product. You can also check out Trupeer.ai. These days makers do a mix of Loom and interactive user demo.

Loom walkthroughs often work better, showing real product usage.

I prefer screen recordings or any type of video that shows real footage rather than an animation with AI voiceover. I love seeing real people doing real things.

I would guess both work as long as they are short and to the point. The animated video usually grabs more attention but a Loom video can feel more personal and real—it just depends on your vibe I suppose.

Both is my answer. And the purpose is also important. But as a user I would definitely enjoy watching a walking through of a product more than an animation. First it shows who is behind the product, second you see that it ACTUALLY does what it promises to do ))

Animated videos lock slick but can feel too polished. Looms make it more real and relatable.

Loom worked better for us! People liked seeing the product in action, no fluff.

Yep, videos seem to help A LOT for PH launches. Loom videos are great for showing the product in action and animated explainers can make complex products more accessible. They both have their place but if I had to pick one, I'd probably go with a loom so people can see the real product. Just make sure it's short, engaging and clearly shows the value! And of course, amazing copy and images help a ton too.

Loom videos tend to work really well for product demos and showing key features, while animated explainer videos can be great for telling your product story in an engaging way. Probably can't go wrong with either but I'd lean towards Loom if you want to show the product in action and animations if you want more of a marketing/branding focus. Just make sure it looks polished and professional either way!

a) What suits you better in terms of the finished product quality? b) If both ends are equally good and you are confident, take opinions and keep faith in your gut feelings.
