Does security matter?

We are launching Folio Wallet today. It’s a secure digital wallet. We have been working on it hard and enthusiastically (support appreciated: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/folio-wallet-app) 🎉 Although you can still store photos of your passport in the gallery and share them via messenger, no special app is needed 🙂 So I wonder, is security a priority? Broadening the perspective: SaaS companies love to brag about security, but who really chooses a product only because it’s secure? People choose products for other reasons. Do you feel that security matters when you choose a product?

First off, congrats on the launch of Folio Wallet on Product Hunt! 🎉 To your question, security does matter, but it’s usually not the only factor when people choose a product. People want something that’s easy to use, solves their problems, and fits into their lifestyle. Security is like the foundation—super important, but not always front and center when someone is deciding between two products. For example, if you were choosing a new car, safety features would definitely be a priority. But you’d also care about how it looks, how it drives, and how comfortable it is. The same goes for digital products. A secure app is great, but if it’s a pain to use, people might go for something that’s more user-friendly, even if it’s slightly less secure. So, yes, security is important, but it’s part of a bigger picture. People are drawn to products that offer a balance of security, convenience, and functionality and Folio Wallet does it all. Thanks for building such an amazing product and most importantly, having it available for everyone for free. I highly recommend using Folio Wallet to everyone :)
