How do you assess the strategy of "promote first, create buzz, then develop the product"?

I think it's just BS. We follow this: start developing, promote as build in public, create buzz, finish the development, do a big launch, keep up the momentum

@alvarovillalb_ totally agree. Promoting without the actual product will leave your audience un-interested.

While promoting and creating buzz upfront can generate initial interest, it's crucial to balance it with a solid development plan. Ensure that the product's core features align with the promoted vision to meet user expectations. Regularly communicate development progress to maintain credibility and sustain interest.

it depends on the time delay from the buzz to the launch. Any moment gained could be a waste of time if the delay has wiped the memory of those on your waitlist. if it's quick then why not.
