Integrations can enhance a SaaS product’s value by connecting it with other tools users rely on. With so many possible integrations, how do you choose which ones to develop first? Do you base it on customer demand, market trends, or strategic partnerships?

Great question! Here’s how we approach it:
- Start with customer requests to identify the most asked-for integrations.
- Use Zapier or Make initially, then track what gets the most traction.
- Build deeper integrations for those with the highest engagement.

One answer that my team and I have come to is that we should prioritize what our customers are looking for, which is more engagement.
Also, from a product growth perspective, working with a service that has a strong community has worked well. Participating in an existing community is a great way to get direct feedback!

Start with what your power users are actually requesting and what solves their biggest painpoints.
First, analyze what the upstream and downstream services of my product are in the customer's usage scenario, and which products generally provide these upstream and downstream services.
Of course, more importantly, is the research on existing users, prioritizing the integration of products that already have a relatively large number of users.

I think it's a market-based choice first and foremost. Whichever integration has the higher market demand and greater market share is developed first.
