How do you overcome the nagging feeling of "I should be working" when you are sick and recovering?

I'm pretty under the weather today, but as a founder who works from home, I have this nagging feeling and self imposed pressure to still get things done. I know logically, if I take the time to rest now, I'll recover quicker and bounce back to normal levels of productivity. I know working when sick also sets a bad precedent/example for my team, but it's still really hard to close my computer and sleep, when I can work in bed or on the couch. Does anyone have a good framework for embracing rest as the best (and maybe even only) option? Thanks in advance for your thoughts and feedback 🌻

I think it's important to listen to your body and give yourself the time you need to recover. As for the nagging feeling - Id get away from all the devices - go for a light walk or just anything to reorient away from work

If you're yearning to do work, do some simple tasks. You should lean into that energy for an hour or 2 and then you may find that you've scratched that itch enough for the day. Once you've done that, the recovery process begins.

@oscar_wehbe this is brilliant. There's dozens of small things I can do that don't take much mental energy. Doing one or few of those things while I recover seems to reasonable and also aligns with my "take one step forward" everyday approach to start-ups.

Just do things within your capacity. Health is still more important. If you insist, do the less stressing ones

I can't overcome it. When I'm sick, I'm sick. I just buy and take the necessary pills on https://www.canadapharmacy.com/ and rest. I get this feeling when I don't meet the deadlines and then I just do my best that I can afford
