Is it possible to get a job offer from some you met while waiting for your Pumpkin Spice Latte?

I recently spoke to a UX/UI Designer who says it is. “I was actually networking with another San Diego-based designer over coffee. A founder of a small agency overheard me chatting with her at the coffee shop and said, "Sorry to eavesdrop, but I'm looking to hire a product designer for my agency." He gave me his business card, and I ended up having a couple of interviews/chats with him and receiving an offer." Networking can happen anywhere. Be open to opportunities when you are out and about.
