Is the career you’re pursuing in line with your degree?

Sometimes I randomly think about the fact that I have never used my bachelor’s degree certificate. I’m a trained Mechatronic Engineer, with a B.Eng to back that up. However, in ‘reality’ I am a freelance writer. Does that bother me? Not at all. I honestly think that studying engineering helped me and is still helping me in my current career path. Engineering taught me problem-solving, and the experience I gained from being around a lot of boys taught me to be daring, both of which I constantly use as a content writer. I loved studying engineering, and if I was going back to school today, I probably would still study it. What about you though? What degree do you have, and is it in line with the career you are currently pursuing?
