Lead-generation software always a good bet?

Hey people, I've done some validation before with my actual target group but was wondering what do people around here think. I'm building https://www.source.hr - a lead generation platform for anyone who's hiring technical talent (founders, recruiters, hiring managers). Leads in this case mean passive IT talent. What I mean by the title of this post is that countless times I've seen lead generation businesses making huge ARR, but maybe I'm just having blind hopes for my future here. 😂 What are your thoughts? Anyone has any previous experience building lead-gen software? I hope to create a little bit of a discussion about this topic in this thread, if possible. Cheers!
