Hi all, Starting this discussion for myself and other founders looking to learn more about integrating affiliate programs in their SaaS marketing. I'm sure at least some of you (if not all) have considered having affiliates as one of the major promotional activities for your SaaS marketing. What is a typical % that you offer to your affiliates? What is the 'norm' for SaaS? And if you haven't considered having a proper affiliate section with an elaborate recruitment strategy, then why is that?

From my experience (as an affiliate and as a saas vendor) it is important to offer something to the end-user. For example with QApop 2.0 we are offering 10% discount to users, who signup up with an affiliate code. This encourages the end user to tell us, that they discover the tool thanks to an affiliate partner, So - We have a more accurate tracking. - It isn't frustrating for the affiliate partners to lose money because the client forgot to click a specific link.

@fabian_maume makes sense. My product has a base plan which is free forever. I wonder how we can make this work for us. Have u experimented with free plan price points?

@g_m_mehdi Yes. My main source of affiliate commission is Phantombuster which has a free plan. It is the affiliate partner's job to find a use case where it makes sense to pay for the paid plan. That is why I wrote many articles about LinkedIn automation: https://fabian-maume.medium.com/...----------------------------

@fabian_maume Thanks. Checking it out. What do you think of my pricing page at 4bg.ca - any tips? How much does Phantombuster offer affiliates? I can't see a page on their site for this. It will help me structure an exciting compensation plan for 4BG affiliates.
