Should I charge for an early stage product?

I'm planning to launch a first version of a product soon with the main goal of getting user feedback. We're planning to add more "pro" features later that will be part of a paid plan.
Should I already try to charge for the first version? Will this limit the feedback I can get?

I would test to see if you can keep free users around using your product. Just be clear about the payment model upfront

@sentry_co That makes sense. Maybe announce the "coming soon pro plan" while launching the free version?
Perhaps a small free demo would work better. People tend to be hesitant to pay for something that is not complete and may have bugs. We launch next week, would love your support! (https://www.producthunt.com/prod...)
I'm excited about my early-stage product, and I'm wondering if charging for it right away would be a great move to validate its value and gain valuable user feedback – any thoughts and advice would be highly appreciated!
