Once I asked what are the most common reasons to unsubscribe. The most common reasons why people unsubscribed were: 👉 spammy newsletter (too many links), 👉 the purpose behind signing up for the newsletter no longer exists, 👉 "boring" – the same content, 👉 too many emails in a short time, 👉 information overwhelm to name a few. ---------- As a creator, it is crucial to me to know what people like/don’t like so that I can improve. What can we do about it? From my side: – Asking for feedback (DMs) – Creating a poll/survey – Brainstorming with my current/possible subscribers (or ChatGPT) 😃 From your side: – When you unsubscribe, give a reason (what you didn’t like). – Let the creator know in DMs or reply in the newsletter what you liked (because the creator can do more of those) I am going to take the chance to roast one of my newsletters.
