Web Development issues in the present times. Too many options, too little freedom?

When it comes to building a custom web application, a website, or a set of landing pages, there are some fundamental aspects to consider: → intellectual property → scalability → future-proof technologies → maintenance costs → automation → integrations (2FA, AI etc) We live in one of the most prolific times regarding web development options. Building a product is easier than ever, but cutting through the noise and choosing the right solution is more challenging. We can choose from online builders, WordPress + Elementor, or other no-code solutions offering data support. But there are consequences and drawbacks, and nothing is as great as it seems when it comes to choosing: 🛑 Unless you're willing to rework everything, you're tied to this platform for the long haul. 🛑 The platform's trajectory restricts the value you can provide to its users. Aim to add a fresh custom feature or integrate your website into a custom application. You may have encountered limitations you cannot overcome and are already too deep into this. You're looking at starting the development process from square one, which has its issues and substantial expenses. 🛑 The pricing only covers platform usage. Consequently, there are additional expenses: designing and implementing the website (constructing it using the visual components). You'll need to bring in an external hire or invest your time.

These are great insights. I never thought about the intellectual property as being important.
