Specifically, text based AI (GPT-3). I have tried the normal Google search but there is a lot of noise and a lot of alarmism out there. I want to understand in layperson's language about the implications of an AI such as GPT-3 and what can I do to potentially upskill myself?

There is an online course by @alexcastrounis called Why of AI (https://www.whyofai.com/). Great way to gain a better understanding in layperson's language. Best part is that no technical expertise is needed!

@alexcastrounis @justin_govy Oh, wow! That's quite interesting. Thanks for sharing, Justin! :)

Thanks for the shout out @justin_govy! We actually have multiple online courses and certifications geared towards non-practitioners such as business folks and decision-makers that want to increase their AI literacy and fluency, and that also help provide a business perspective for technical practitioners.

Here are a few resources that can help a newbie understand the world of AI: 1. Online courses and tutorials: Coursera, Udacity, and edX offer a wide range of online courses on AI and related topics. These courses are typically self-paced and can be taken at your own convenience. 2. Books on AI and machine learning: There are many books available that can help you understand the basics of AI and machine learning. Some popular options include "Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach" by Stuart Russell and Peter Norvig, and "Introduction to Machine Learning" by Alpaydin. 3. Video lectures by experts: YouTube is a great source of video lectures on AI and machine learning. Search for channels and channels that cover these topics, and watch the videos to learn from experts in the field. 4. Conferences and workshops: Attending conferences and workshops on AI can be a great way to learn from experienced professionals and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field. Look for conferences and workshops in your area, or consider attending virtual events if you can't travel. 5. @shubham_k721 Thanks for the reply! Do you have any particular website/forum that would be a good starting point?

You can check out the subreddits (r/GPT3) or the discords (there's probably plenty if you look around), since there's more of a community of people who aren't against the AIs there. There is definitely a lot of alarmism (if you thought text AI had it bad, I dare you take a look at the reaction to image generators like Stable Diffusion) You can also look up more technical terms on Google rather than typing in "GPT-3", which is bound to get more alarmist sensationalist resources. Try adding "LLM", "Large Language Model", "GPT-3 vs BLOOM", "GPT-3 vs GPT-J", or "How was GPT-3 trained" to your Google searches. And if you're curious, I'm currently developing a rest API for BLOOM, an open source GPT-3 alternative. You can see more of my developments on the twitter link in my bio.

@richard_gao2 Thanks a lot, Richard. These resources are extremely helpful. I think I will first try and wrap my head around text AI before exploring the world of Image generators :D

@richard_gao2 I appreciate the response. Are you familiar with a favourite site or forum that might be a good place to start?https://showforapk.com/hdo-box/

There are a lot of options for tools to consider built on AI. You may try Synthesia, Rephrase.AI , Movio etc. for text to audio /video rendering. Peppertype.ai, Copysmith, Conversion.ai etc. for content writing. You can find some quick guides on these topics here https://bridgegap.web-stepup.com...
