What are some resources that you can suggest for a newbie trying to understand the world of AI?

Specifically, text based AI (GPT-3). I have tried the normal Google search but there is a lot of noise and a lot of alarmism out there. I want to understand in layperson's language about the implications of an AI such as GPT-3 and what can I do to potentially upskill myself?

There is an online course by @alexcastrounis called Why of AI (https://www.whyofai.com/). Great way to gain a better understanding in layperson's language. Best part is that no technical expertise is needed!

We actually have multiple online courses and certifications geared towards non-practitioners such as business folks and decision-makers that want to increase their AI literacy and fluency, and that also help provide a business perspective for technical practitioners.

You can check out the subreddits (r/GPT3) or the discords (there's probably plenty if you look around), since there's more of a community of people who aren't against the AIs there. There is definitely a lot of alarmism (if you thought text AI had it bad, I dare you take a look at the reaction to image generators like Stable Diffusion) You can also look up more technical terms on Google rather than typing in "GPT-3", which is bound to get more alarmist sensationalist resources. Try adding "LLM", "Large Language Model", "GPT-3 vs BLOOM", "GPT-3 vs GPT-J", or "How was GPT-3 trained" to your Google searches. There are a lot of options for tools to consider built on AI. You may try Synthesia, Rephrase.AI , Movio etc. for text to audio /video rendering. Peppertype.ai, Copysmith, Conversion.ai etc. for content writing. You can find some quick guides on these topics here https://bridgegap.web-stepup.com...
