I try to start the day without my phone, do a little walk and meditation. I also do short breaks where I just drink a coffee on the terrace. These breaks without a phone reduce my stress level. Would be interesting to hear about your little habits during the day.

Workout is something I have started recently. Apart from it, reading book before checking my phone in the morning.

@realdesigntack reading a book in the morning sounds great. I really need to move a bit in the morning, to "activate" my body. But I'm also not a morning person at all :D

I start my day with some daily routines which is cleaning up, changing clothes, drinking milk or coffee, and reading my favorite author's book. I'm taking some time to do some exercises as well and my favorite part of the day, is taking down my thoughts to my favorite journal app which is Kura Kura. A daily check-in and jotting down of my thoughts makes me more aware how to handle my emotions and maintain my good mental health before going to work.

My top mental health habits are journaling, and getting outdoors for exercise like hiking or running. Journaling processes emotions/thoughts, and outdoor activity boosts endorphins. I also prioritize 7-8 hours of sleep, limit doom-scrolling on social media, and have regular check-ins with friends to stay connected. I t's an ongoing practice, though these things sometimes take a back seat as my launch for an AI product is approaching. Maybe we could connect and support each other through the craziness of launch?

I'm trying to get into the habit of hanging out on my phone for less time, but so far it hasn't always worked out. It feels like - I'm going to "rest" and hang out on social media for a bit, and then "wow it's been an hour!" and I'm not rested at all. And in general, sports and walking in the fresh air helps a lot.

@pabloroigburgui I love this. I do it too! Not a lot of people realize this but a short exercise and meditation for mindfulness can boost your mood a lot. Sleeping adequately also helps a lot.

Thanks for sharing Marvin, all great tips! I was having a terrible time sleeping over a couple of months. Heard on a podcast that getting sunlight first thing in the morning is great for resetting your circadian rhythm. Since i've been getting outside first thing in the morning, mental health has gotten a lot better.

@jd_worcester Try also to go outside in the morning, but it's hard when the weather is so bad like this year in my city! Such a good habit. A short walk in the morning is also good for the body, before sitting almost the whole day

Actively distrust negative emotion* - which tends to wipe the philosophical/mindful/growth-mindset/stoic slate clean until you're reminded of the top-down, re-programming concepts that facilitate the minds and purpose-driven behaviors we should want. *they are so frequently misleading, and corrupting - built from incomplete information and projections (which trigger due to insecurity). KEY: We feel it as if it were true. - It's hard (as science is hard) because you will not feel it. Emotions are frequently misleading; Negative bias must be countered with relentless positivity (invoked by objective labeling and letting go) to re-orient oneself. Key: - As you will feel reactive emotions, but will not feel the top-down, proper contextualization of those feelings, it must be a principle/ongoing practice for the auto triggering of those ideas in response to such distractions. - Reframing negative emotion is important. It's not inherently negative, but an opportunity to practice mindfulness, etc. Avoid opinion formation when emotions are strong. P.s. Clean Cuts launched today! Thank you for any support!

Having really clear boundaries - particularly for the Start of my Work Day and the End of my Work Day. I do this through the power of ritual - I do a similar process each day to start my day and to end my day. This activates my body to know my day is starting / ending and helps me switch off at the end of the day. I find this very powerful when working remotely - where the distinction between work and home is quite blurred.

@marvin_maendle Boundaries are! My Start of Day is all about the ritual of a big glass of water, a hot cacao and choosing a coloured pen for the day. I choose a WORD for my day - and set an intention for how I want to feel at the end of the day. My End of Day is where it all happens though - I write down the 3 most important things that I need to do the following day, I write down a gratitude for the day at the bottom of my To Do list, and then I close my laptop and don't open it again until I'm back again in the morning.
