Hey Nico! In a few words: - build an audience before (on social media platforms, newsletter, whatever you prefer. A relatively big group of people needs to be aware of what you do online. This can take months, if not years of consistent work. - warm up your audience the day before, make them aware of the launch - on the launch day leverage different platforms to bring traffic to your PH Launch page, and provide recurrent updates (hourly), share whatever happens I wrote a detailed guide about this, you can grab it for free https://lucarestagno.gumroad.com...

Hi @luca_restagno, those are some great insights! ✨ Thanks for sharing. Do you maybe have any advice on what to do if you cannot disclose what the product is? It's a lot harder to build email lists and a community if you cannot let them know what you are building. Is there any way around this? Thanks :)

@luca_restagno Luca! Great to see you here on PH, I'm used to seeing you on twitter haha. This is super helpful stuff! I'll definitely have to check out your guide.

@andrea_todorova1 you can talk about topics that are somehow related to the product, without disclosing it. Is it about productivity, marketing, habits? Talk about the topic, but in general. But are you sure that you cannot talk about it? Are you worried about competitors?

@luca_restagno thanks, your answer is much appreciated! Well, it's a hypothetical question for now as we are not there yet :D we still have a long way to go. But my worries would be either competitors, mostly because we would like to apply for intellectual property before disclosing or legal reasons.

You must have some thoughts on this @luca_restagno

Planning, building a community, promotions, and scheduling content to go out the day of seemed to be what helped us the most. We spent a lot of time planning the launch, and reaching out to contacts, friends, and family. It takes time but it paid off.

@owen_fay How did you build community?
    Owen Fay
@nicomuoio engaging with the product hunt community through discussions, answering questions, interacting with other products, and asking your own questions. I also engaged with other social media groups on Facebook and LinkedIn to talk about the product we launched as well as other products in the industry or similar industries.

@nicomuoio @owen_fay Totally agree, good insight! Engaging with the community and be part of it really works according to my observation.

@owen_fay Appreciate the insight! Going to have spend more time on LinkedIn. I've found Twitter to be more helpful than LinkedIn in terms or networking but I continue to hear folks speak highly of LinkedIn so I'll have to begin to make more of an effort there.
Making a strong community, promoting our product, and in the end, much luck.

@qudsia_ali Where did you create your community?
@nicomuoio On PH and LinkedIn. But there are others platforms too where you can find the people to get support. (like indie hackers)
