Remote work gives you the freedom to work from anywhere in the world. Many people in this community here are in tech and can work remotely. So which country would be your choice for a while?

Estonia. Digital country, ,lovely people, so much to explore. Quite temperate if a wee bit chilly in January or February but not that bad. Affordable and energized.

Since 2021 I have been living in Turkey, the country is wonderful, as is the Turkish language. But I wouldn’t mind living in a country with a cooler climate now) I hope that as part of my work or projects I will be able to live in Germany

@viacheslav_ustinov I can understand why you don't want to move to a country with a cooler climate. Come to Germany in summer (if you can decide). Winter is just nice in the alps and even there you don't have that nice and snowy winters anymore every year.

@marvin_maendle Thank you!) I really hope that you will be able to relax there. By the way, you mentioned the Alps, perhaps you like skiing - I highly recommend visiting the Turkish resort of Ercyes. There is not much snow there compared to other famous ski resorts, but the views are amazing (few people have heard of Ercyes, so I decided to tell you about it)

Costa Rica, Malta, or South Africa. I spent a month in Costa Rica and it was heavenly.

Marvin, I'd love to immerse myself in Japan for a while, captivated by its rich blend of ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology. The harmony between nature and urban life there seems truly unparalleled.

I live in Prague, Czech republic and, overall, it's very comfy place to live in, just lack of the sea is a main downside. Meanwhile, I came here for 6 months back then but stuck for 9 years 🙈

@marvin_maendle true true :) we have few rivers and lakes. International vibe is pretty strong indeed. Prague is quite comfy for foreigners.

@marina_bau was there for a weekend trip. You have the Moldau instead of the sea :D Like the international vibe in Prague and it's a beautiful city too

I lived in Lithuania (native), Ireland (10+ years), UK, Brazil (current). If I could afford I would move to San Francisco for 6 months or somewhere in US even for the long term.

Given my love for rich cultures and breathtaking landscapes, Japan would be my top choice. Its unique blend of traditional and modern life fascinates me deeply.
