Reflecting on my experience in product strategy and research, one of the best choices I've made to drive product growth was implementing a user-centric approach in all aspects of product development.
Instead of merely focusing on feature expansion or technical novelty, I advocated for a stronger emphasis on user research and feedback. We invested in ethnographic studies, user interviews, and data analysis, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of our user base. This allowed us to deeply understand our users' needs, behaviors, and pain points, which then served as the foundation for our product development decisions.
I also promoted a culture of experimentation and fast iteration within the team. This meant prototyping new features rapidly, testing them with real users, and using the feedback to refine our product.
